What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) refers to a body of methods that practitioners use to help clients obtain relief from stress, anxiety, depression, even phobias and food cravings. In many cases, clients experience relief from physical pain as well; if you've ever had a "stress headache", you've had first-hand experience with how emotional pain can cause physical pain. EFT works (in part) by down-regulating the part of the brain that triggers the stress response. In fact, it doesn't matter whether you "believe in it" or not....it just works.

EFT is not that well-known in the U.S. yet, but that's changing. And watching someone apply EFT can look odd, because it involves tapping on the head and torso in specific places. As strange as it may look, there are over 100 research papers published in professional scientific journals that testify to its effectiveness.

How You'll Grow

Improving your emotional skills begins with growing Self-Awareness (SA). This means increasing your ability to know how your thoughts, feelings and behavior impact one another moment-by-moment. Learning to attend to your own inner world is a process, but one that begins paying dividends with even a modest degree of effort. Your growth in SA will result from our work together using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).

Growing your SA naturally paves the way to Self-Management (SM). Once you're aware of the triggers that get in your way, you can plan for and handle them more easily. Events that once bothered you will begin fading in importance; you'll feel less stressed and better able to challenges whether at work, at home, or in your community. Persistent, continued use of EFT produces significant gains in this domain.

Your SA and SM are growing. Now you're better able to "get out of your own way" and see what's going on with others. Welcome to the domain of Social Awareness (SocA), where your growth really accelerates! Your listening skills are improving, enhancing connection to others. Empathy grows as well, allowing you to be better able to understand other people's perspectives. You'll find others opening up to you, strengthening trust relationships that make working together easier.

Relationship Management (RM) is the real payoff! All that earlier work makes RM a breeze. It’s here that you’ll create outcomes that benefit others as well as yourself. Conflict resolution occurs naturally as communication becomes clearer and your genuine concern is evident. You'll create win-win situations all around, and even serve as a mentor to others. And it’s so easy once the earlier work is done!

The Process

Just click on the button below for a FREE 15-minute consultation; you'll create a simple login to do so (the "Create an Account" button is at the bottom), so you can modify it later if necessary. In the consult, you'll share your overall challenge you'd like to address, and we'll discuss Session options, depending on the nature of your desired goal. You'll then purchase a Session Package, which includes a 30-minute Discovery Session in which I'll gather more specific information. It's then that we'll discuss your goal more specifically, and co-create an overall goal that is a measurable and time-specific.​ The Discovery Session is the first of three sessions we'll have.

I'll send you two Google Docs to sign, allowing me permission to conduct Sessions as well as to record the video. The videos allow me to study and further prepare for your subsequent Sessions. These files stay on my laptop, and are seen only by me. Once the next Session is completed, the prior video is deleted; all videos are deleted once our work together has ended.

The second Session (following Discovery) will likely be a week later. It's in this Session that you'll learn the principal tapping points, and more importantly, how to use them effectively! At the end of this Session we'll co-create "homework" to help you practice and apply your new skills.

In the third Session, you'll share how EFT practice has impacted your experience, and we'll do further work toward your goal. Depending on your wishes (as well as my recommendation), you may opt for additional Sessions.
